First Place

Avner a wise man who staggered his life in the land of Ukraine,
Left his holy womb with his swollen joints of pain,
Because on the cold twenty-first of December,
The Wolf attacked the city of Zhytomyr,
Leaving no one to sing the next Hallelujah,
Taking what he could grab: an imported papaya,
He thought he could sell this for a bit of money,
In the land of the golden and the sunny,
With this inspiration he jumped into his plane,
Junker Ju 52, with the seat that had a stain,
It was said to be quiet and out of Wolf's sight,
But was proven wrong ten minutes into the flight,
The Wolf's jet planes assigned him as a target,
When Avner tried to flee from the pack's bullet,
His joints had swollen twice their size with even more pain,
And who said a paraplegic could land a plane?
As Junker became friends with the dirt of Europe,
The plane had bounced and Avner had been thrown up,
To join the firey and impulsive pact of Junker,
When his body allowed him, he looked up to see a cur,
Whose introduction was ripping Avner out by his hair,
And shouting at his assigned pack "Er ist hier!"
Avner, right now, would be getting his freedom stamp,
If he hadn't just flown over a concentration camp.


Second Place

Looking up into the sky all that is seen is a mist consuming the large buildings. Winged figures can be seen clashing with one another. Flames and sparks fly as their weapons connect. The load clang of steel on steel is heard. One figure falls quickly to Earth to impact on the ground with a shattering impact. Feathers fly in all directions as the once perfect being lays broken and bloodied. " Do not let the evil win..." it whispers to those that stand near by as its body begins to crystallize and shatter to tiny little fragments. The Dark War has begun.
