Everyone always needs a mood to be set~? What really helps me, is, sitting by a window, or outside. Never in a small cramped room, or one with out windows. I like feeling free when im writing/drawing etc. It helps my mind wonder..

Mood - Depression

We all hear about it on TV and most likely we've all been somewhat depressed from time to time. But the bother is, how do you write it?

In words depression can be similar to sadness but you never want to flat out say your character is depressed, that takes away from the writing! So what do you do?

Is their a way to make it work? to push the buttons in a way to show the difference? without, of course, going to far?

Tell us your way! In fact, show us your way if you wish!

How to Set the Mood

I've been trying to get more and more practice setting the mood of a scene and making it as sad or as scary as I picture it. For me, I can describe everything that's happening, but I have trouble going that little extra step to truly set the feeling and mood of the scene. How do you set the mood? Are there key words that you use?

We all feel this way from time to time but how do you write it?

That's right, we're talking sadness. No mood is easy to write, but sadness can be simple or complex. are you writing about tears or the inwardly sadness that your character just can't express?

How do you do it? Complex or simple? Is their a better way or is one lacking/to hard to understand?
